According to the National Statistics Office of Georgia (GEOSTAT), the main influence on the formation of the annual inflation was the price change on the following groups:
Food and non-alcoholic beverages: prices in the group increased by 2.4%, reflecting annual inflation by 0.76 percentage points. Prices increased for the following subgroups: vegetables and garden vegetables (46.4%), fruits and grapes (12.9%), fish (9.7%), meat and meat products (5.8%), mineral and spring water, non-alcoholic beverages and natural juices (5.8%), coffee, tea and cocoa (1.8%). However, prices have decreased for the following subgroups: oil and fat (-26.3%), bread and bakery products (-7.9%), sugar, jam and other sweets (-1.2%), milk, cheese and eggs (-0.3%);
Miscellaneous goods and services: prices in the group increased by 10.9%, which was reflected by 0.58 percentage points on the annual index. Prices, for the most part, have increased for subgroups: financial services (27.9%), personal hygiene (7.9%);
Housing, water, electricity, gas: prices in the group increased by 5.0%. Accordingly, the group's contribution to annual inflation amounted to 0.52 percentage points. Prices increased for subgroups: current housing maintenance and repair (11.7%), real tax on housing (9.9%);
Transport: prices in the group decreased by 7.9%, which reflected -0.94 percentage points on the overall index. Prices are reduced for the operation of personal vehicles (-13.2%). At the same time, the prices for transport services (3.8%) and the purchase of vehicles (2.7%) have increased;
A 7.3%-decrease in prices was recorded in the health care group, which reflected -0.72 percentage points on the annual index. Prices decreased for the subgroup of medical products, equipment and devices (-17.6%). At the same time, prices for outpatient medical services (11.6 %) and hospital services (6.4%) increased.
