Exports of nitrogen fertilizers from Georgia increased significantly in the first half of 2025, generating US$67.4 million, an 11.4% year-on-year growth compared to the same period in 2024, according to data from Sakstat.
Georgian-produced nitrogen fertilizers were exported to 20 international markets, with Romania accounting for the largest share—23% of total exports, or US$15.7 million. Lithuania (US$8.2 million) and Spain (US$8.1 million) followed closely behind.
Other notable markets included:
-
Namibia – US$6.4 million
-
Tanzania – US$4.8 million
June 2025 marked the strongest monthly performance in over a year, with nitrogen fertilizer exports totaling US$15.6 million—the highest monthly figure since March 2023.
The continued growth in fertilizer exports reflects Georgia's expanding role in global agricultural supply chains, particularly in Europe and emerging markets in Africa.
