Tokyo recently hosted a Georgian wine presentation with support from the National Wine Agency of Georgia and the Sakura Japan Women's Wine Awards, the Agency announced.

The event featured two main segments: a wine tasting led by Ana Godabrelidze, Tasting Commission Chair at the Agency, and a master class by Tamta Kvelaidze, Head of PR and Marketing at the Agency. The master class focused on pairing Georgian wines with traditional Japanese cuisine.

Both Godabrelidze and Kvelaidze were invited as jury members for the ongoing Sakura Awards. The Agency noted that this year’s competition marked the 11th edition of the event, which celebrates women’s contributions to the wine industry and features a jury composed of sommeliers, wine writers, and journalists from Japan.
