For the first time, the Georgian National Gallery is hosting a large-scale exhibition of the works of Christian Dior's Georgian artist, Thamar de Létay-Vachnadze. On the initiative of the Minister of Culture of Georgia, Tea Tsulukiani, the heritage of Thamar de Létay-Vachnadze, her works and personal archive, as a result of negotiations with the descendants of the artist, were transferred to the Art Palace of Georgia in 2022.
A group of scientists brought the collection from Brittany to Georgia. Among the works returned to the Art Palace are: more than 30 paintings, more than 300 graphic sketches and sketches, as well as more than 200 archival photographs.
The exhibition will last until December 16.
