David Songulashvili, Georgia’s Minister of Agriculture and Environmental Protection, met with Raimund Jehle, the UN FAO representative in Georgia, to discuss key areas of cooperation.

The meeting focused on the European Union's European Neighbourhood Programme for Agriculture and Rural Development, aimed at reducing rural poverty, as well as topics such as animal identification and registration, inclusive agriculture, sustainable land management, aquaculture, and youth involvement in agriculture.

Songulashvili expressed gratitude for the FAO’s longstanding cooperation, highlighting its role in advancing agricultural and rural development. Jehle reiterated the FAO's commitment to supporting these efforts in Georgia.
