Lasha Khutsishvili, the Minister of Finance, and Natia Turnava, the Acting President of the National Bank of Georgia, recently convened a concluding meeting with an International Monetary Fund (IMF) mission led by Alejandro Hajdenberg.
The meeting involved a thorough discussion of several key topics, including the country’s fiscal and monetary policies, progress made in achieving macroeconomic and financial stability, and the measures outlined in the government’s economic reform program. Additionally, the meeting served as a platform for reviewing and confirming the alignment of current macroeconomic and fiscal forecasts.
The Georgian delegation at the meeting included Deputy Ministers of Finance Giorgi Kakauridze and Ekaterine Guntsadze, the Head of the Department of Macroeconomic Analysis and Fiscal Policy Planning Vakhtang Chalapeikrishvili, Vice Presidents of the National Bank Ekaterine Mikabadze and Ekaterine Galdava, as well as Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Vakhtang Tsintsadze.
