
The Deputy Minister of Environment Protection and Agriculture of Georgia Solomon Pavliashvili met with the representatives of the World Bank.
The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the issues related to the development of the Green Growth Strategy of Georgia. As mentioned at the meeting, by creating the strategy, the country will develop a guiding document for the development of green economy and creation of green jobs.
Solomon Pavliashvili spoke about the importance of waste management and climate change strategies, as well as the extended producer commitment documents, and provided information about the Environmental Protection Action Program of Georgia to the representatives of the World Bank. The Deputy Minister focused on the issue of prioritizing the development of the green economy in the country and the progress achieved in the environmental direction.
The meeting held in the Ministry of Environment Protection and Agriculture was attended by the heads of the relevant service.
