The exhibition was created in close collaboration between the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and the Garuzzo Institute for Visual Arts (IGAV) and is part of a large-scale cultural project that connects the countries of Europe and Asia along the "Silk Road".
The presentation of this exposition in Tbilisi is a continuation of the exhibitions supported by the Italian Embassy and the cooperation with the Garuzzo Institute for Visual Arts.
The 38 works on display (8 of which are preserved in the Farnesina collection) present contemporary Italian art from the 1960s to the present and combine different visions of generations of Italian artists and works created with various expressive languages and techniques. The three main themes of the exposition are related to travel, meeting newness and discovery.
After the capital of Georgia, the exhibition will take the road to the east and finally, in 2022, will end in China.
