Vakhtang Tsintsadze, the Deputy Minister of Economy of Georgia, reported that the country's external trade turnover reached "record levels" between January and November, totaling $21 billion. During this period, exports saw a 7.9 percent increase, amounting to $6 billion.
In November, exports experienced a significant rise, surpassing $542.5 million, which represents a 12.6 percent increase compared to the same month the previous year. Tsintsadze noted that, as in previous months, there was a continued growth in domestic exports. Reviewing the foreign trade data for the first eleven months of the year, he emphasized the substantial export growth, with the volume reaching unprecedented levels.
The Deputy Minister also underscored the Government's dedication to enhancing export capabilities through state programs designed to improve the competitiveness of small and medium-sized enterprises. He further acknowledged the importance of these initiatives in promoting the production of domestically made goods capable of competing in the European Union market and beyond.
