Levan Davitashvili, Georgia's First Vice Prime Minister and Economy Minister, addressed pressing concerns of the business community during a meeting with over 100 business representatives. The discussion highlighted the intersection of political stability and economic development, underscoring the government's commitment to fostering a conducive environment for growth.
“We remain steadfast in our promises made during the elections—to pursue Georgia’s European path with dignity and prosperity. This trajectory will undoubtedly lead to success, achieving the outcomes we have envisioned,” Davitashvili affirmed.
The Minister stressed that “business and economic processes, in general, are highly sensitive to political events, making peace and stability essential prerequisites for sustained economic growth.” The dialogue included an assessment of economic forecasts, which Davitashvili noted were well-received by a significant portion of the business community.
However, the Minister acknowledged that differing perspectives persist, even among leaders of major corporations. He emphasized the importance of ongoing dialogue to address these divergences, adding, “The Prime Minister is fully prepared to continue these discussions to ensure inclusivity and progress.” This commitment to open communication reflects the government’s strategic approach to harmonizing economic objectives with political stability.
