Mamuka Mdinaradze, Executive Secretary of the Georgian Dream party, stated that representatives of the "Deep State" lobbied to finance a revolution in Georgia, using U.S. taxpayer money without public consent. He criticized the U.S. Embassy in Georgia for failing to align with the new U.S. administration's positions on issues such as family values, transparency, and the misuse of USAID funds.
Mdinaradze expressed disappointment that the Embassy did not address the shifting policies voiced by President Trump and Senator Rubio, suggesting that if the Embassy acted in accordance with these views, ongoing disruptions in Georgia could be resolved quickly. He noted a disconnect between the Embassy's actions and the U.S. leadership’s narrative.
In response, the U.S. Embassy rejected Mdinaradze’s claims, calling them "categorically false" and arguing that they misunderstood the Embassy’s support for President Trump and Secretary of State Rubio’s priorities.
