On the instruction of the Georgian Prime Minister, Mariam Kvrivishvili, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, held a meeting with the representatives of the Accommodation Facilities, the Georgian Incoming Tour Operators Association and the Hotels and Restaurants Federation. According to the agency, the meeting was also attended by Medea Janiashvili, Acting Head of the National Tourism Administration.

The participants of the meeting positively assessed the circumstance that the government listens to the business officials and considers their requests.

According to Mariam Kvrivishvili, it is important that the government's feedback to the representatives of the tourism sector is effective.

"I am glad that the private sector has positively assessed the decision made by the Coordination Council. Important components for the private sector have been eased, which will contribute to the safe development and restoration of tourism and strengthen the private sector," said the Deputy Minister.

The meeting focused on the impact of the implementation of the "Green Passport" on the activities of the local tourism sector and possible mechanisms for the implementation of this concept. It was noted that the meetings organized by the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development with the representatives of the tourism sector will continue.
