
According to the National Bank of Georgia (NBG), remittances sent to Georgia in June totaled USD 315.5 million, marking a 12.2% year-on-year increase. At the same time, outflows from Georgia—funds transferred abroad—rose by 21.8%, reaching USD 34.3 million.
The NBG identified the European Union as the main driver of the increase, with remittances from EU countries growing by 17.3% compared to June 2024. Transfers from the United States also saw strong growth, rising 23.0%. In contrast, remittances from Russia declined by 2.8%.
