“Germany is in a difficult economic situation, having recorded an overall recession over the past three years, a reality that is inevitably reflected in public sentiment,” Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze told journalists in Batumi.
According to the Prime Minister, the German government lacks the capacity to manage affairs effectively.
“Germany is experiencing quite a challenging economic situation. Over the past three years, an overall recession has been recorded, meaning an economic contraction. Naturally, all of this influences the people’s mood. Everyone can see that the government lacks the resources to manage processes properly; nor does it possess sufficient sovereignty to do so.
Naturally, this impacts voter sentiment and, consequently, electoral outcomes. This is manifested in the opposition party securing victory in one of the federal states – Saxony-Anhalt. As for the rest, they must draw their own conclusions; we cannot interfere in the choice of the German people, and we shall refrain from making excessive comments in this regard. One needs to highlight the ongoing trends in Germany, which are manifested in such a decisive victory for the opposition,” the Prime Minister stated.
