According to the Deputy Prime Minister/Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, along with the growth of energy security and transport and logistics potential of Georgia, another strategic direction is the development of a digital transit hub. Levan Davitashvili spoke about this while delivering a report within the "Ministerial Hour" format in the Parliament of Georgia.
As per the Minister, the development of the digital transit hub implies, on the one hand, an international broadband telecommunication Internet connection in and through Georgia, and on the other hand, the formation of the regional data exchange centers by large content providers in Georgia.
Levan Davitashvili said that “the initial draft of the strategy has already been developed and, at this stage, it is being actively discussed together with the private sector.
