
Specialists of the National Environmental Agency took part in the 3rd Caucasus Mountain Forum titled Transdisciplinarity for Sustainable Tourism Development in the Caucasus Region: the role of Caucasian scientists" and in the regional meeting.
The forum was held at the Akaki Tsereteli State University in Kutaisi.
Within the framework of the forum, specialists of the National Environmental Agency presented the reports on the ongoing activities in the direction of modeling and mapping of natural hazards, as well as hydrometeorological observations.
The agency's employees participated in the discussions on the impact of negative consequences caused by climate change in the South Caucasus region. During the discussions, the directions of water resources management and natural threats were highlighted and the issue of future cooperation between Georgia, Azerbaijan and Armenia with the support of the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP) in these directions.
Representatives of the public agencies, scientific and non-governmental organizations attended the meeting.
