
Representatives of the Russian occupation forces illegally detained three Georgian citizens near the village of Plavismani in Gori municipality, according to the State Security Service of Georgia.
The agency further reported that one of the detainees was released on March 11 and is now in territory controlled by the central government, while the other two remain in illegal detention.
"Upon receiving information about the incident, the State Security Service activated the hotline with the involvement of the European Union Monitoring Mission. The incident was immediately reported to the co-chairs of the Geneva International Discussions and international partners," the agency stated.
It added that all available mechanisms have been activated to secure the release of the detained Georgian citizens as quickly as possible.
"The occupying forces are responsible for all destructive actions carried out in the occupied territories of Georgia, as well as along the occupation line," the statement concluded.
