The German Embassy in Georgia has highlighted a remarkable rise in Georgian wine exports to Germany, celebrating a sevenfold increase over the past ten years.
“In 2024 alone, 1.28 million liters of wine—equivalent to around 6 million glasses—were exported from Georgia to Germany,” the Embassy shared in a Facebook post. “We warmly welcome this amazing development.”
According to the Embassy, Georgian wine continues to gain popularity among German consumers, a trend they attribute to the shared cultural appreciation for wine between the two nations.
“Germans and Georgians have much in common, including a deep love for wine. So it's no surprise that Georgian wine is increasingly making its mark in Germany,” the statement added.
