Low-cost carrier Ajet, a subsidiary of Turkish Airlines, will begin regular Ankara-Tbilisi-Ankara flights starting late September. Approved by Georgia’s Civil Aviation Agency, the flights will operate four times a week—on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.

The new route follows high-level talks in July between Georgian and Turkish aviation officials about expanding air links. Turkey remains Georgia's top air traffic partner, accounting for 47% of passenger flow between neighboring countries.

In the first seven months of 2025, Georgia saw record air traffic, with over 20,000 flights and more than 4.6 million passengers—a 13% year-on-year increase.
