In Q3 2024, Georgian airlines transported 204.4 thousand passengers, with a turnover of 597.9 million passenger-kilometers, reflecting a 45% increase in passengers and a 69.1% rise in turnover compared to the previous year.
The sector also saw significant growth in freight, with 69.6 thousand tons of goods transported and a freight turnover of 159.8 million ton-kilometers, marking a 2.5-fold increase in freight volume and a 3-fold rise in freight turnover.
At Georgian airports, passenger traffic grew by 20.6%, totaling 2.46 million passengers. Scheduled flights accounted for 93.7% of this traffic. The number of passenger flights increased by 15.8%, reaching 9.4 thousand.
Additionally, freight and mail volume at airports was 6.3 thousand tons, with 88% arriving and 12% departing. Freight flights increased by 89.4% to 0.5 thousand.
