In addition to the flow of passengers, the Kutaisi International Airport also has positive dynamics in terms of restoring the number of flights. In October, 65% of flights at the airport resumed and performed 195 flights (in October 2019 - 298 flights). According to the Georgian Airports Union, at this stage, 3 airlines operate towards 22 destinations in 11 countries at Kutaisi International Airport.
"Currently, three airlines operate direct flights from the Kutaisi International Airport to 22 destinations, including 4 to Kazakhstan and 18 to Europe. In October, 166 direct scheduled flights were operated from the David Aghmashenebeli Airport. From October 31, our strategic partner Wizz Air has resumed direct flights from Kutaisi to Barcelona, Vienna and Berlin. From December 15, regular flights from the Kutaisi airport to Abu Dhabi will be launched in a completely new direction," - said Tamar Archuadze, Director of the Georgian Airports Union.
In November, 119 regular flights will be performed from the Kutaisi International Airport to Europe and 29 regular flights to Asia.
