
“For the first time in Georgia, the World Forum on Energy Regulation will be held, which will be hosted by the Georgian National Energy and Water Supply Regulatory Commission (GNERC),” - the GNERC reports.
In 2026, the leading energy organizations of Europe and various countries unanimously supported the holding of the largest forum on the energy sector in Tbilisi.
Within the framework of the World Forum on Energy Regulation, more than 1,000 high-ranking delegates will visit Tbilisi. In particular, the ninth World Forum on Energy Regulation will be attended by representatives of Europe and various countries, member states of the Energy Union, associations, government agencies, energy and donor organizations.
The forum will touch upon the current situation and challenges in the energy sector worldwide, investment issues and the role of renewable energies in the development of sustainable energy. One of the main topics at the forum will be Georgia's energy potential and investment environment.
Under the auspices of the International Confederation of Energy Regulators (ICER), the World Forum on Energy Regulation has been held every 3 years since 2000. Along with various organizations, the ICER members include: the Council of European Energy Regulators (CEER), the US National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners (NARUC), the Energy Regulators Regional Association (ERRA). In previous years, the host countries of the forum were: the USA, Italy, Greece, Canada, Turkey, Mexico.
