The National Tourism Administration of Georgia has created a new online portal exhibitions.gnta.ge for the private sector to join international exhibitions.
As part of the digital transformation project of the National Tourism Administration, the new platform will help private sector representatives wishing to participate in international tourism exhibitions to register. The online portal is based on an algorithm that will identify participants in a fair and transparent manner.
About 5,000 representatives of the private sector are registered in the database of the National Administration of Tourism of Georgia, and at the end of each year, a list of the next year's exhibitions was sent to them. The private sector officials expressed their willingness to participate in important exhibitions and registered with the administration by submitting an official letter. Due to the fact that the number of participants in the space allocated to Georgia at each exhibition is limited, the number of applicants is reduced to the number of available places, which was connected to the principle of voting in order to select the companies. The online portal of international exhibitions will digitize the process and make registration easier for the private sector.
The National Tourism Administration has developed a co-financing mechanism for the Georgian resident tourism companies and hotels wishing to participate in international tourism exhibitions.
The administration together with the private sector annually participates in international exhibitions, which contributes to the development of tourism and helps Georgian companies present their services and products to the international market and establish new contacts, which positively affects the growth of the flow of visitors and the development of tourism in Georgia.
