Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze emphasized that Georgia’s primary objective is to see peace established in Ukraine, stressing the urgent need to end the ongoing loss of life.
“Ukraine is a friendly nation, and the death toll from this war is a tragedy that must stop. I sincerely hope negotiations will finally bring peace to Ukraine and the region,” Kobakhidze stated.
He noted that while Georgia has consistently advocated for peace, others—both inside and outside the country—have pushed for war, sometimes openly, sometimes behind the scenes.
“Our position has always been clear: peace is essential. And time has shown that this was the only realistic path forward,” he concluded.
