To enhance awareness and drive sales of Georgian wine in the crucial U.S. market, the National Wine Agency has entered into an agreement with American marketing firm Colangelo Partners.
The partnership will see Colangelo Partners lead a marketing campaign for Georgian wine throughout 2025, with financial backing from the National Wine Agency. The campaign aims to boost demand and sales in the U.S. by implementing strategic initiatives, alongside increasing consumer engagement through a variety of events focused on Georgian wine.
Key elements of the campaign include tasting seminars in major U.S. cities targeted at wine professionals and industry representatives. Georgian wines will also be featured at international exhibitions, supported by tailored advertising and media efforts. Furthermore, the initiative will organize wine tours to Georgia for media, sommeliers, and sales representatives to foster a deeper understanding of the wines and further strengthen their presence in the U.S. market.
Colangelo Partners has been actively promoting Georgian wine in the U.S. since 2022, under a contract with the National Wine Agency. During this time, Georgian wine exports have grown consistently, with 2024 exports reaching 1.2 million liters—a 32% increase from the previous year.
The U.S. continues to be a lucrative market for Georgian wine, with an average price of around six dollars per liter, reflecting the product's high quality and increasing popularity.
