"Through diversification measures, we must reduce the dependence on the Russian market every year, which means more marketing activity in new markets, where the Georgian wine is relatively less known.
Last year, for the first time in the US market, which was selected as a marketing priority, the export of the Georgian wine approached the million mark. Our goal is to actively implement a project related to the support of individual marketing initiatives, which involves the co-financing of commercial marketing by the state. We had a presentation of the program in September last year and it aroused great interest from winemakers.
We expect even greater activation in the priority markets of our country in case of strengthening the diversification and effective implementation of this program. I think the Georgian wine companies will be even more successful in the new markets," - Levan Davitashvili said.
