“Pristine, Backcountry Skiing In The Virtually Undiscovered Paradise Of Georgia In Winter” - an American travel magazine Lost Time publishes an article about Georgia's tourism potential.
Influencer Nate Luebbe shares his impressions regarding Georgia with the readers of the publication. Nate Luebbe was in Georgia as part of the "Digital Days". The project was organized by the National Tourism Administration of Georgia and supported by the USAID (USAID) Economic Security Program. Within the framework of the project, influencers from different countries of the world prepared articles, stories, photos and video reports about Georgia's winter resorts, which, along with social networks, were posted on the travel platform Steller's social networks and websites.
In the Lost Time article, Nate Luebbe describes the ski slopes of Georgia's mountain resorts, including Bakhmaro. In the article, the author also publishes the photos of Svaneti.
“In Georgia the slopes are ours to do as we please, and on more than one occasion I find myself skiing in a rhythm I didn’t know existed - fully carefree, turning when a turn is wanted, skiing wherever the slope beckoned. I am no longer dodging a downed toddler or a resting snowboarder, but rather I am transforming my own preconceived notions of what skiing “should be.”
It’s a particularly spectacular day in Bakhmaro, a remote alpine village that gets so much snow you can only access it via a re-purposed grooming machine. 80% of the houses in the village are abandoned each winter, and we spend the entire day traversing from ridge to ridge, never skiing the same slope twice, and certainly never wiping the giant smiles from our snow-crusted faces.
True happiness is a powder day, sure, but I have found something new: happiness is a powder day somewhere rife with adventure, with a few of your closest friends by your side, tucked away in one of the world’s few remaining undiscovered gems. It is somewhere where your biggest concern is if you were able to pick all the snow out of your goggles, or if your jacket is fully zipped up.
In short, happiness is Georgia," - Nate Luebbe writes.
The global circulation of the online publication Lost Time exceeds one million.
