Red Bull Dance Your Style, the Georgian national final of the international street dance championship, will be hosted by Batumi this year. The event is supported by the Department of Tourism and Resorts of Adjara. 16 of the best dancers of Georgia will face each other on August 20, at 18:00, in the boulevard, near the colonnades. Only one of them will be awarded the opportunity to participate in the Red Bull Dance Your Style World Final.
16 dancers are participating in the Georgian national final of the international street dance championship. 12 dancers were selected by the jury at the selection competition of Red Bull Dance Your Style held in Tbilisi on August 13. The members of the jury were the famous hip-hop dancer and Red Bull artist Majid Kessab and the winner of Red Bull Dance Your Style 2021 Georgia, Nini Gogichaishvili. 4 of the participants were awarded "Wild Card" and therefore, they will take part directly in the Final without qualifying stage.
Red Bull Dance Your Style unite 33 countries in 2022. The country's best dancers will compete against each other for the status of the world winner on December 10 in Johannesburg, South Africa. Georgia is participating in the international championship of street dances for the second time. Last year, the Red Bull Dance Your Style World Final was canceled due to the Covid pandemic. That is why the Georgian winners of 2021 and 2022 will travel together to the World Final of the competition.
The most common styles of street dance are: locking, hip-hop (the so-called hip-hop freestyle or new style), popping, the so-called house dance, waacking and breaking (the so-called B-Boying or breakdancing). Red Bull Dance Your Style is free to participate and attend.
