
The Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia, Irakli Karseladze, met with the President of the World Water Council, Loïc Fauchon, within the framework of the UN 2023 Water Conference.
“The meeting of the representative of Georgia with the President of the World Water Council was held for the first time in the history of the Council,” - the Public Relations Service of the Ministry said.
The parties to the meeting talked about the importance of sharing the experience of the UN main sectoral international council in the direction of water resources management to Georgia.
The Minister informed the President of the World Water Council about the current and planned projects for the development of water supply infrastructure in Georgia. Irakli Karseladze also introduced him to the government's long-term plan for providing the country's population with drinking water that meets the standard, which Loïc Fauchon gave high praise.
The parties to the meeting expressed their readiness to deepen cooperation in the direction of water resources management and development of water supply infrastructure.
