“With the financial and organizational support of the National Wine Agency of Georgia, in 2023 Georgian wine will be actively represented in the United States of America, Great Britain, Germany, Poland, the Baltic countries, China, South Korea and Japan in order to diversify the export markets of Georgian wine,” - the National Wine Agency of Georgia informs.
Reportedly, the contractor organizations of the National Wine Agency will implement various targeted measures in the mentioned strategic markets. Georgian producers will participate in all important international exhibitions of wine and alcoholic beverages.
The 2023 state budget of the State Program to Promote Georgian Wine was set at GEL 14 million, which is 2 million GEL more than the approved 2022 budget.
From the mentioned amount, GEL 2 million is directed to the State Program to Promote Georgian Wine, as part of which, the marketing costs will be cofinanced only for those companies that export to priority markets and different countries of the world, except CIS-states, and, at the same time, meet other requirements defined by the program’s terms.
Within the framework of the promotion program, wine exhibitions, competitions, tours and festivals will be held throughout Georgia, which is important for increasing the potential of wine tourism and wine consumer culture.
This year, the first event, where Georgian wine will be presented is the international exhibition VinExpo Paris, which will be held on February 13-15 in Paris, the capital of France. With the support of the National Wine Agency of Georgia, 13 Georgian wine producing companies will participate in the exhibition. Participation in such an event increases the awareness of Georgian wine internationally and gives entrepreneurs the opportunity to find new trade partners.
