The specialists of the National Food Agency of Georgia provided detailed information about the HACCP standard to the representatives of the business sector, for whom the implementation of the Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) System will be mandatory from June 1, 2023.
As the National Food Agency of Georgia reported, the introduction of critical control points allows to predetermine and control the potential dangers in the process of food production and sale and, accordingly, to provide safe food to consumers.
"The HACCP system, in accordance with the Agreement on the Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area (DCFTA) with the European Union, is being established step by step and from June 1, 2023, it becomes mandatory for all food-producing business operators.
The Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) System is implemented after the business operator meets the requirements of the Good Manufacturing Practices and carries out necessary programs (GMP and GHP) in advance ", - the Agency said.
