Gradual recovery of tourism industry continues in Georgia

“220,705 international travelers visited Georgia in October 2021, which is 324.3% more compared to the same period in 2020 and -71.8% less compared to October 2019,” - the Georgian National Tourism Administration reports.

The number of international visitors was 205,680, which is 313.7% more compared to October 2020, and 69.1% less compared to the same period in 2019.

The number of tourist visits in October amounted to 188,751, which is 331.5% more than in October 2020, while 57% less compared to the same period in 2019.

The resumption of tourist visits is gradually increasing over the next 10 months.

According to preliminary data, as of September 2021, the profit received from international visits to Georgia amounted to 161,862,751 US dollars (an increase of 933%), which is 146,187,024 dollars more than the same period in 2020. Compared to September 2019, the decrease is -156,770,174 dollars (decrease -49%).

The profit received from international visits to Georgia in January-September 2021 amounted to 865,654,831 dollars, which is 366,579,535 more than the same period in 2021 (increase - 73%). Compared to the same period of 2019, it is 1,717,184,741 dollars less (decrease -66%).
