“The Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia Mariam Kvrivishvili and the Head of the National Tourism Administration of Georgia Maia Omiadze met with the Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates Ahmed Ebrahim Ahmed Taher Al Nuaimi,” - the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia reports.
At the meeting, the cooperation between the two countries in the fields of tourism and civil aviation was discussed. It was noted that the Emirates is one of the important tourist destinations of Georgia, from where the number of visitors increases every year. In the first quarter of 2023, the tourism growth was said to be 19.8% over 2019 and 45.8% over 2022.
The meeting also focused on the positive dynamics of direct flights between Georgia and the Emirates, as well as successful relations in such sectors as investments, bilateral trade and others.
The parties discussed the prospects of the future cooperation, which would contribute to further rapprochement of the two countries, including in the direction of tourism and aviation sectors.
