"Georgia's Black Sea city of Batumi hosted the third annual international conference of non-commissioned officer academies and schools of the NATO member and partner countries within the Defence Education Enhancement Programme of the Alliance," - the Georgian Defence Ministry said.
The Ministry noted Major General Zaza Chkhaidze, the Deputy Chief of Defence Forces, had opened the conference, expressing his gratitude to the representatives of NATO member and partner countries for visiting Georgia.
The aim of the conference was to develop military professional education for non-commissioned officers under the NATO standards, which also involved discussions on the importance of training a new generation of military personnel and improving hierarchical systems of Georgian military technicians and specialists.
Burcu San, the NATO Deputy Assistant Secretary-General for Operations, concluded the conference by thanking the Georgian side for hosting in the country.
