In the first half of 2025, Georgian wine was showcased at nearly 150 international events in 13 countries, backed by financial and organizational support from the National Wine Agency.
As part of efforts to boost exports and diversify markets, Georgia participated in 18 major exhibitions and festivals and hosted 137 tastings and seminars across Japan, the U.S., Norway, France, Spain, Italy, South Korea, the U.K., China, Finland, Armenia, Poland, and Belgium.
To deepen global engagement, eight wine tours were held in Georgia for international wine professionals—including sommeliers, experts, and commercial buyers—from countries such as Germany, Japan, China, the U.S., and the U.K.
Domestically, the state-led wine promotion programme supported 15 exhibitions and festivals and four tastings and competitions across the country. These initiatives aim to strengthen local wine culture, boost wine tourism, and promote Georgian wine to a wider audience.
All efforts fall under the “State Programme for Georgian Wine Popularization,” which has a 2025 budget of 17.4 million lari, up by 1.4 million lari from last year.
