Organized by the Georgian National Tourism Administration, the bloggers and photographers from Portugal visited Georgia. The press tour is being held with the involvement of the Embassy of Georgia in Portugal. The representatives of the Portuguese media are preparing blogs and photo reports on Georgia's tourism destinations, cities, resorts, culture, health and adventure tourism products, which will be shared on social networks.
"Our goal is to maximally diversify the target tourism markets in order to get more high-spending tourists, reflecting them in revenues, and make this result more long-term and sustainable. Accordingly, today we are hosting bloggers and journalists from Portugal, who will mainly get acquainted with Georgia's health and adventure tourism potential. This is another additional opportunity to position our country's tourist destination in Portugal and receive more tourists," - Medea Janiashvili, the Acting Head of the Georgian National Tourism Administration, said.
8 participants of the press tour visited Tbilisi, Mtskheta, Uplistsikhe and Kvishkheti. The bloggers and photographers will also visit Baghdati and Sairme, Vani, Martvili, the village of Gordi, the Prometheus Cave and Tskaltubo.
The aim of the press tour is to popularize Georgia's tourism potential in Portugal and attract new tourist flows.
