According to the National Tourism Administration of the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, the introductory tour was organized by the National Tourism Administration with the support of Air Astana and co-organized by the Department of Tourism and Resorts of Adjara. 12 tour operators and airline representatives participated in the tour. The purpose of the info-tour is to popularize Georgian tourism products, resorts, actively advertise Georgia's tourism opportunities in the Kazakh market and study the potential of business tourism.

Within the framework of the one-week info-tour, tour operators visited Batumi, tourist places of Adjara, Tskaltubo, Sairme, Borjomi, Bakuriani, Uplistsikhe, Mukhrani and Gudauri. At the end of the tour, the National Tourism Administration held a B2B working meeting for Georgian and Kazakh tour operators in Tbilisi, where the representatives of Georgian travel companies were given the opportunity to exchange contacts with Kazakh colleagues and plan joint tours.

"Kazakhstan is one of the most important target markets in terms of attracting tourists. The Georgian National Tourism Administration, with the support of Air Astana, is conducting an introductory tour with the participation of representatives of a travel company from Kazakhstan. The tour aims to advertise Georgia's tourism in the Kazakh market, which will arouse the interest of a wide audience,” - said Marina Bojgua, Head of the Department of International Tourism Promotion at the National Tourism Administration.

Kamila Zhailaubayeva, a spokeswoman for Air Astana, said the Company wants to increase tourist flows between Kazakhstan and Georgia during the winter season.

"10 tour operators from Kazakhstan have arrived in Georgia; they are the largest travel companies in Kazakhstan. We started the tour from Batumi, then we visited various places, sanatoriums, as well as mountain resorts, in Tbilisi we met with people involved in hotels, travel companies and business tourism.We want to increase tourist flows between Kazakhstan and Georgia during the winter season," Kamila Zhailaubayeva, a spokeswoman for Air Astana, said.
