Georgian National Tourism Administration develops 10-year eco-tourism strategy and action plan

“Despite the pandemic, the National Tourism Administration of the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia continues small-scale infrastructure projects for the development of tourism products,” - the National Tourism Administration reports. Reportedly, in 2021 the area of participants in the "Wine Route" project was expanded - 48 new wine host facilities were added to the project.
"The Wine Route project includes 320 host facilities across the country. By 2022, 30 new cellar projects were prepared, as well. A picnic infrastructure was set up in the Ateni Valley to serve the organized tourist flow. The National Tourism Administration marked 7 hiking trails in Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti this year, the total length of the trails is 105 km.
The National Tourism Administration has developed a 10-year eco-tourism strategy and action plan to create a competitive and safe tourism product. With the help of the donor organization (GIZ), an interpreted project of 2 ecotourism trails was prepared for the renewed Assyrian and Bolnisi territories,” - the Agency said.
