The Georgian Minister of Environment and Agriculture, Davit Songulashvili, met with members of the World Bank delegation, led by Rolande Pryce, the Regional Director for the South Caucasus, to discuss the "Georgia Resilient Agriculture, Irrigation, and Land Project (GRAIL)."
During the meeting at the Ministry, the two sides focused on key aspects of the project, including the development of land reclamation infrastructure, agricultural support, grant programs, strengthening the Rural Development Agency, and land consolidation efforts.
Minister Songulashvili expressed his gratitude to the World Bank for its longstanding partnership with Georgia and underscored the importance of land reclamation infrastructure projects for the country's agricultural development.
Rolande Pryce praised Georgia’s favorable conditions for the effective and timely execution of ongoing projects and reaffirmed the World Bank's commitment to continued cooperation with the country.
