
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, Maka Bochorishvili, held an introductory meeting with the Ambassador of the Holy See (Vatican) to Georgia, Archbishop Ante Jozić, who is also holding the position of Dean of the Diplomatic Corps accredited in Georgia.
During the meeting, they discussed the positive development of relations between Georgia and the Vatican, highlighting the recent projects and exploring the prospects for further enhancing cooperation.
The conversation also addressed the key issues of importance to Georgia, including the challenges the country faces. Emphasis was placed on the importance of stable national development and the country’s foreign policy priorities.
The discussion further touched upon the shared European values and the role the Holy See can play in supporting Georgia’s European integration process.
The Minister expressed gratitude to the Ambassador for the continued support of Georgia, specifically recognizing the Holy See’s significant role in consolidating international support for Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. Both parties expressed a strong commitment to the ongoing collaboration in the future.
