The meeting was held within the framework of the state-owned enterprise reform program, which also envisages the unification of Georgian airports and the reform of the Georgian state electricity system. 

According to Natia Turnava, these international financial institutions, as well as the International Monetary Fund and the OECD, are assisting the government in reforming state-owned enterprises and their corporatization. 

The Minister added that within the framework of the reform of state-owned enterprises, we have already seen a successful example in the form of the Georgian state electricity system, where an independent board has already been appointed in compliance with the OECD standards, where the best practices for corporatization are already being shared and relevant structures, rules and regulations are being introduced.
