The Minister thanked the Hungarian side for supporting Georgia's sovereignty, territorial integrity and integration into Euro-Atlantic structures. The significant contribution of Hungary to the European Union Monitoring Mission (EUMM) in Georgia was also emphasized.

At the meeting, the issues of defense cooperation between the two countries were discussed and they expressed a desire to deepen further cooperation. It was noted that the strategic level visits promote to intensify the dialogue between the Defense Ministries.

The sides also discussed the details of the Defense Minister's visit to Hungary scheduled for November this year, during which the Minister will open a conference on resilience and resistance with his Hungarian counterpart. They also discussed the assistance provided by Hungary in the implementation of the Substantial NATO-Georgia Package (SNGP) and cooperation in the field of military education.
