Georgia reports 148 new cases of coronavirus, 2 deaths

Stopcov.ge reports that as part of the intensive testing, 24,593 tests were conducted across the country within the last 24 hours, including 22,635 antigen tests and 1,958 PCR tests.

As a result of the testing, 148 new cases of the virus were detected within the last 24 hours. The total number of confirmed cases since the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic in the country amounts to 1,654,945.

As of April 28, the daily rate of positive is 0.6%, for the last 14 days - 1.04% and for 7 days - 0.94%.

Within the last 24 hours, 280 people recovered from the virus, bringing the total to 1,636,800.

2 coronavirus deaths were reported within the last 24 hours. A total of 16,807 people have died from the virus since the pandemic spread.

The number of active cases amounts to 1,312.
