“Compared to the same period last year, the volume of hazelnuts exported from Georgia increased by 3.3 thousand tons (35%), while its value – by 6.3 million USD (12%),” - the Ministry of Agriculture and Environmental Protection of Georgia reports.

Georgian hazelnuts are mainly exported to the EU markets - Italy (5,549 tons), Germany (2,222 tons), Spain (402 tons), the Czech Republic (401 tons), Poland (315 tons), Lithuania (218 tons), France (170 tons) ), Bulgaria (110 tonnes), Latvia (70 tonnes), Estonia (60 tonnes), Greece (49 tonnes), Belgium (41 tonnes), Hungary (22 tonnes), Croatia (20 tonnes).

Georgian hazelnuts are also exported to the countries such as Armenia (788 tons), China (680 tons), Ukraine (256 tons), Russia (252 tons), Algeria (193 tons), Belarus (164 tons), Saudi Arabia (158 tons), Iraq (144 tons), Switzerland (129 tons), Mexico (120 tons), Azerbaijan (82 tons), Canada (75 tons), Argentina (64 tons), United Arab Emirates (59 tons), Kazakhstan (45 tons) Tons), Uzbekistan (22 tons), the United Kingdom (22 tons), Turkey (22), Kyrgyzstan (22 tons), Tunisia (15 tons), Jordan (14 tons) and others.
