Representatives of Le Figaro, AR Magazine, Voyages de Luxe and other high-ranking magazines visited Tbilisi, Mtskheta, Uplistsikhe, Borjomi, Akhaltsikhe, Vardzia, Tsinandali and other popular tourist attractions. They visited wine cellars, tasted Georgian wine, got acquainted with Georgian cuisine and then arrived at the museums.
Within the framework of the tour, by 2020, articles, photo reports and programs on Georgian gastronomic tourism potential, Georgian wine, culture and cities will be prepared by French-speaking readers and TV viewers in France, Canada, Switzerland, Belgium, Luxembourg, Monaco, Lebanon and others.
"We are hosting journalists and photographers from leading French publications, including a representative of Le Figaro. The main goal of the tour is to position our cultural tourism product, gastronomy and wine in the international market. The stories and articles prepared cover the tourism markets of France as well as other countries, which will promote our cultural heritage, wine and gastronomy in the international tourism market,” - said Medea Janiashvili, Acting Head of the National Tourism Administration.
