In connection with the 105th anniversary of the declaration of independence of Georgia, the exhibition "The First Democratic Republic of Georgia" will be opened today, May 24, in the exhibition pavilion of the National Archives of the Ministry of Justice.
The exhibition will present various materials preserved in the National Archives of Georgia, which reflect the history of Georgia in 1918-1921. Among the documents are symbols of the First Republic - acts of independence, sketches of the state emblem and flag, notes of the anthem - as well as documents about the solemn celebration of May 26 and archival material depicting the political, public and cultural life of the country.
In addition, visitors can see the models of weapons from the period of the First Republic.
