A personal exhibition and sale of the Abkhazian war veteran, artist Irakli Avalishvili was opened at the Galeria Palace hotel. The exhibition presents 23 works of the artist and also one of them belongs to his son, Niko Avalishvili.
Visitors can visit Galeria Palace every day from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. until August 31. (Address: # 5, Pavle Ingorokva Street). Irakli Avalishvili was born on February 21, 1950. His activity in art began after the war in Abkhazia. On October 2, 1994, Irakli Avalishvili was seriously wounded in the Kodori valley while defending the territorial integrity of Georgia. He started painting seriously in 1995, and still conveys the emotions he received during the war on canvas.
The artist has created about 700 paintings and has arranged 35 personal exhibitions. His paintings ("brilliant colors") have been evaluated by Agora Gallery, which is located in New York. Emotional paintings made with a rich color palette will give you an indelible impression.
Irakli Avalishvili's wife, Marina Akhvlediani, was also a participant in the Abkhaz war. They have 6 children - 1 daughter and 5 sons, three of whom are artists. Irakli Avalishvili's works are preserved in private collections: in Great Britain, the United States of America, Switzerland and Georgia.
