The Georgian cities were selected among a total of 14 non-capital cities and towns from five Eastern Partnership (EaP) countries: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine.
At a final stage, one town or city from each country will be awarded a further grant of up to 300,000 euros to implement its strategy.
In addition, the EU4Culture project will provide capacity-building support to the selected cities in cultural enterprise and management, cultural indicators and internationalization.
EU4Culture, a four-year project supported by the European Union and running from 2021 to 2024, aims to contribute to making culture ‘an engine for growth and social development’ across the EaP region.
The EU-funded EU4Culture project supports the cultural and creative sector with a special focus on non-capital cities and towns in the Eastern Partnership countries.
