In May 2025, Georgia’s economy grew by 7.5% compared to the same period last year, according to preliminary data released by the National Statistics Office of Georgia (GeoStat). The average economic growth rate for the first five months of 2025 reached 8.8%.

GeoStat reports that key sectors contributing to this robust growth include information and communication, manufacturing, trade, transport, warehousing, and construction. However, the energy sector showed a declining trend, slightly offsetting overall performance.

These figures highlight continued economic momentum, driven by a broad range of industries despite sectoral challenges.
