She spoke about the details of the report sent to the Ministry by the International Council.

"UNESCO and ICOMOS positively assess the urgent works carried out by us in Gelati in 2021. I hope this will put an end to the numerous political speculations and superficial approaches by some Georgian art critics, who called on us to stop carrying out the urgent works. These are those works, which, according to the conclusion obtained yesterday, were positively assessed and we were called for more thinking and analysis, while the frescoes were being torn down," - Tea Tsulukiani said. 

The International Council of Cultural Heritage positively evaluates the researches carried out by the international experts invited to the Gelati Monastery by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth, the methodology chosen by them and the urgent works carried out. 

Four Italian experts studied the problems arising in the Gelati Monastery Complex, took samples from the site and examined them at different times last year.
